The sun is always shining. In the US the average is 50-70%

Of the days will be sunny.  That's a fair amount, even for the most skeptical opponent of a new technology.  Even though this is just an average, it speaks volumes.  Wind power is economically viable over about 13% of the globe. If I were making odds, that gives you a minimum 3:1 advantage of being someplace where the sun is shining, but the wind is not blowing. I'll take those odds and Solar over Wind any day.

 

There is an ancient proverb that says: "Too much sunshine makes a desert."
